Niki,

Rocky made his first therapy visit to KNI last Saturday. I was so proud of him, he seemed to realize the limitations of the residents there and adjusted to whatever their situation was. He made himself comfortable sitting on whatever they could offer, a lap, a wheelchair tray, or a spot on their bed. It was easy to see that he was making them happy, they would smile and their eyes would light up even though they didn't speak. Some of them have badly twisted hands, and it was amazing to watch as they would slowly straighten their fingers until they could stroke Rocky's back. For some of them, interaction with the therapy animals is the only time they straighten their fingers or get any exercise to their hands. I'm certain that Rocky will get even better at interacting with them as he gets to know the personality of each one through continued visits

He gets more handsome each month, and he still changes from month to month as he matures. He now requires no constant watching or entertaining. He will entertain himself, play with Missy and Windsor, or just follow me around. He also loves naps on Jerry's lap in the afternoon. He stretches out on Jerry's legs in the recliner and puts his head across Jerry's ankle. I do think I am his favorite, as he follows me everywhere and comes to me when he needs something but his loves his Dad also.

Hope that you and Fred are doing well, as are all the puppies.

Marla
